Someone clears the pond at the top of Dearth Hill Rd for skating in the winter.

This is a great place with free parking and a nicely groomed access road where I can jog with my stroller and my dog. There's usually some wildlife to see like a family of geese, a heron, snakes and frogs (usually there are a couple dead snakes and frogs on the road). Make sure to use insect repellent; I usually come home with a tick or two crawling on my dog and my clothes even if I stay on the dirt road. And there are typically quite a few hunters there in the fall. I completely avoid it with my dog during shotgun hunting.
